Charles Jere M.D
Dr. Charles Jere is a board-certified nephrologist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered kidney care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Malawi College of Medicine following studies at the University of St Andrews and St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College London.
Before practicing in the U.S., Dr. Jere contributed to clinical and public health initiatives through the University of North Carolina research program in Malawi and the U.S. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Connecticut, followed by a Nephrology fellowship at Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Driven by a passion for rural healthcare, he specializes in helping patients in underserved communities navigate complex chronic kidney conditions. Off the clock, Dr. Jere is a family man who loves exploring new places with his wife and three children, often capturing their travels through photography.
Nakshatra Saxena M.D
Dr. Saxena, fondly known as "Nikey," is a board-certified nephrologist at Advanced Kidney Care NC with over a decade of experience. He completed his medical degree at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi before completing his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Driven by a fascination with the kidneys' complex interactions with the heart, endocrine system, and medications, Dr. Saxena is deeply committed to expanding specialized renal care in North Carolina. He takes great pride in building lasting, meaningful relationships with his patients and making a direct impact on the local community.
Outside the clinic, he is a dedicated family man who enjoys discovering new local restaurants and keeping up with sports. He loves spending quality time with his wife and young daughter, especially traveling to explore new cultures, traditions, and cuisines together.
Nivin Haroon M.D
Dr. Nivin Haroon is a board-certified general and transplant nephrologist with over a decade of specialized experience. After earning his medical degree Trivandrum Medical college in India, he moved to the U.S. and completed his Internal Medicine residency in Ohio, where he fell in love with nephrology's blend of pure science and mathematical precision.
He went on to complete a Nephrology fellowship at Wayne State University, followed by a Transplant Nephrology fellowship at UNC Chapel Hill.
Dr. Haroon is dedicated to serving rural communities through close patient relationships and strong collaboration with local healthcare teams at Advanced Kidney Care NC. He takes immense pride in expanding access to top-tier renal care where it is needed most.
Off duty, he prioritizes quality time with his wife and son, whether traveling or enjoying nature. An outdoor enthusiast, he also loves long cross-country motorcycle rides to remote landscapes, capturing the scenery through photography.
Saritha Boyapathi M.D
Dr. Saritha Boyapati is a board-certified nephrologist at Advanced Kidney Care in North Carolina who believes exceptional care starts with deep connection and active listening. She earned her medical degree at Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, completed a combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at LSU Health Shreveport, and underwent Nephrology fellowship training at the University of Washington.
Understanding that kidney disease impacts daily life and family far beyond lab values, Dr. Boyapati guides patients through complex decisions so they feel truly heard and involved. Grounded by her close-knit family, her husband and two children remind her daily that every patient is someone’s loved one.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Boyapati serves as a passionate health educator. She actively engages in community outreach to promote preventive health, proper nutrition, and early awareness of chronic conditions, viewing herself as a dedicated partner in every patient's wellness journey.
Pulkit Gandhi M.D
Dr. Pulkit Gandhi is a board-certified nephrologist at Advanced Kidney Care Clinic dedicated to empowering patients to actively manage their kidney health with warmth and empathy. He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, completed his Internal Medicine residency at The Wright Center, and underwent Nephrology fellowship training at Brown University.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation, Dr. Gandhi provides comprehensive care for chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and dialysis needs. He collaborates closely with hospital teams and dialysis centers across Eastern North Carolina to ensure patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their treatment.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gandhi is an avid fitness enthusiast who enjoys hiking, strength training, traveling, and spending time with his family. He brings that same vibrant energy to his practice, helping patients maintain balanced, fulfilling lives.
